Paul Audorff

Paul Otto Ernst Friedrich Audorff was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knights Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Paul Audorff was captured by American forces after the fall of Tunisia in May 1943. he was held until 1946.
